I purchased the 2-1/2" Bulletproof Adj Ball Mount for my 2019 RAM 2500 (Laramie, 4WD, 20" Rims&Tires, Off-Road Suspension) to have 1 mount for various trailers. This replaces various 2" mounts used on my 01 Silverado 2500. This is one serious, substantial piece of equipment! Heavy, good welds, nice powder coating! Pix compares this mount with a 7500# 2" Draw-tite mount. Nothing wrong with the Draw-tite, but no comparison in mass.
Some measurements, if interested: Truck: inside top of Receiver: 25" above grade. Bottom of mount without balls: 9-3/4" above grade (clearance). With 2-5/16" ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 17" above grade. bottom of 2" ball: 9-1/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-7/8" above grade. With 2" Ball up: At lowest point: Top of Ball: 16-1/2" above grade; bottom of 2-5/16" ball: 8-3/4" above grade (clearance). At highest point: Top of Ball: 26-1/2" above grade.

So far I am extremely happy with this hitch. It is very heavy duty. My towing capacity has changed and needed to upgrade to a heavy duty hitch. I have no doubts this is going to be Bulletproof!! It is very well built and a solid shank.

The product was delivered as promised and I have had the opportunity to try it. I'm very happy with it. This is an incredibly well-built hitch! It's not all that shiny or complicated. It is simple, heavy duty and built to get the job done. Everything about the hitch and ball set-up, from the solid 2" insert, the gusset reinforcement, to the 1 piece ball selection, gives confidence of strength, safety and durability. The hitch is nearly 50 lbs of solid steel, I'm very happy!
I don’t know about bullet proof but I certainly wouldn’t fire a round at this thing. Take a hand cart to the gate with you; they didn’t skimp on steel. Worth every dime.
One thing to note: when you’re deciding on drop/rise measurements take into consideration the ‘overall’ height as well as the drop or rise you need. I paid only attention to the drop/rise and now can’t use this for drop, only rise. I needed 6” but bought 8” thinking I’d be clever and give myself a bit of extra just in case. I have a 4WD F250 Crew Cab, stock height. My receiver is at 17” on level ground. The 8” drop is only about two inches off the ground. Bad Bad Bad. I can fully lower my tail gate but with the hitch in rise position it’s really close. Had I bought a 10” it would drag the ground and I wouldn’t be able to lower the tailgate.
Zero complaints, only compliments to the manufacturer and to eTrailer. A really well made product.
