Missing nut, had to re-use the old [crappy] one. Barrel, lock and keys work fine. Would have been 5 stars but not if it’s missing parts.
Great to find a quick replacement lock for my 13 year old toolbox that was otherwise in great shape. Appreciate the quick ship and affordable price.

Still works as advertised a year later
I was stunned to find the replacement lock, cylinder and keys. This was for a UWS toolbox that was on a 2001 Ford Ranger XLT that I purchased. The one that was in it would work - sometimes - but not always. The toolbox itself was in good shape but my best guess was that moisture had damaged the lock. I searched locally but could find nothing locally. I looked online and found this vendor and placed the order. It was EXTREMELY reasonable and arrived almost instantly. I am absolutely delighted! As far as I am concerned, getting parts when you need them is a service of the past. This is an exception!!!!

I initially ordered the CH508 but then found out it wouldn't be delivered in time. So I changed the order for the CH509, thinking It would fit. It was delivered quickly but the locking paddle is too short. I'm unable to use it.

Who manufactured your toolbox? If its not a UWS box, you can easily remove the paddle or latch from your existing lock and use it on the replacement. The latch is held on by one screw, and is easily swapped out.
They had the exact part I needed at a great price. Package arrived when they said it would. Very happy with my choice.

I have 2 trucks with 3 tool boxes on each, and a whole bunch of keys. I have always wanted the boxes to be keyed alike. etrailer.com's web site is easy to navigate and order from for the replacement locks so all my boxes are now keyed alike. The locks were a perfect fit. Happy

Was a direct replacement perfect fit. Had to remove handle assembly, drill out rivets, replace lock and rivet assembly back in place.
