Video Transcript for Review of Air Lift Air Bag Compressor Kit - Air Shock Controller Compressor System - AL25804

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Air Lift Air Shock Controller Compressor System for air shock absorbers. Now, this system is going to let you monitor and automatically adjust the air pressure in your shock absorbers with this onboard air compressor and single-gauge dash panel, all without you leaving your driver's seat. Now, this does come with universal fittings. And this is going to connect to most aftermarket and factory air shocks. It includes everything that you see here on my table before me.

You're gonna get the onboard air compressor, and this has a maximum pressure, as indicated by the label here on the bottom, of 100 psi. So it does come with this compressor. And then you're going to get this single-gauge dash panel. Let me come around my table here and give you a closer view of this, lining that up with my camera here. So even though this gauge goes up to 200, again, the compressor has a maximum pressure of 100 psi.

So you're gonna be able to, with this switch, inflate your air shocks. You just push and hold to inflate. And then we've got a button down here that's gonna let you deflate your air shock, so complete control from your driver's seat. And then you are going to get the air lines here, the hardware, and the wiring that you need, some cable ties to tighten everything up, and instructions to guide you through that installation process. So this should be relatively easy for you to set up.

If you do pick this up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience with the installation and its operation. And you can share your experience by either dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page, letting us know how everything's working out for you. We'd love to hear back from you. I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you.

Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

The compressor kit is compact and complete. Installing it did away with manually testing pressure, and hand pumping at the schrader valves while filling my Firestone Air Bags. I was able to install it in a blank compartment over the passenger side rear wheel well in my Toyota FJ cruiser. This allowed me to keep the FJ stock look with no extra holes drilled or visible gauge.

Customer service has been great. The gauge that came with my first kit didn’t work. I emailed about it and they had a replacement in the mail with a day or so. Everything now works properly. I appreciate the fast response and them taking care of the issue.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I have it on my 05 Titan and I pull a dump trailer that I've hauled 6 ton on ,I air up my bags to 45 lbs while I'm hauling then push the button and air down to 10lbs with no issues.

For the money, this set-up is hard to beat.
I installed it on my 2002 Toyota Tundra TRD 4x4 along with a set of Firestone Ride-Rite airbags to aid in leveling out the truck when pulling large trailers.
I ran into some issues installing the supplied gauge panel- in the tundra there is litterally no place to mount the panel aside from the dash pocket on the driver side. Unfortunately, this pocket houses my electric brake controller as I like it close by in case I need to manually override the brakes by the lever on the unit.
My solution was to remove the lower, center dash panel and cut the holes to house the gauges.
This proved to be no simple task as the srs airbag pcm is located right behind this panel- i had to trim the pcm mount, elongate the mounting holes in effort to slide the srs pcm back enough to allow clearance for the gauge. I also ended up using an angled trim from auto meter to aid in this as well.
When wiring the lights for the gauge i tapped into one of the illuminated trim rings for the factory power outlets- this allows the gauge illumination to only come on when the headlights are turned on.
I decided to mount the actual compressor under the center of the bed on a support rail using a custom bracket made of 1/8" steel plate as there is really not much room for it in the cabin and my storage cubbys under the seat are already full.
The only downside to this compressor is that it takes a good while to reach 100 psi on the gauge. This is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5- Im sure the addition of an air tank would help tremendously.
FYI- Fastenal carries the proper push fittings for 1/4" air lines- i needed two extra tee's (about $20 for both) as i wanted schrader valves to remotely fill it if the compressor decided to give up the ghost.

I bought this to go with the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle. I asked online if they were compatible and was told yes. when I installed everything, I had to go buy an extra T conection for the air lines coming from the air bags. Napa did have the T that I needed.

Very easy install!! Haven’t played with it much but pic attached is only 80psi to 20 psi!

by:

Fantastic information and service, very satisfied

by:

The onboard compressor works as advertised! It makes load leveling a snap when carrying a heavy load or pulling the 20’ trailer. This was a great purchase!

by:

Still working fine no leaks even. Compressor is hidden behind a wall panel. The switch and gague are near the trunk release on the dash.

It solved the loading problem for my Buckeye Tailgate vehical.

by:

It seems like a great product but I have to get some different fitting s to hook to shocks when I get time to put it on I will send pictures and reviews

by:

Easy to replace the air compressor. Order was received promptly and the website was very easy to maneuver.

by:

Works great, leveled my truck up great

by:

Very excited that it shipped before the projected date. And arrived early. However, it was the wrong part. I ordered the 160 pound compressor. I received the 100 pound compressor. Pity. The info and manuals were fir the 160 pound compressor. But, the compressor was not. Drew, customer service, appears competent and certainly apologetic. He assured me it would be resolved soon. We’ll see

  • Firestone Coil Helpers And Compressor Kit For 2023 Toyota Sienna AWD Platinum
Hello Nick, thanks for reaching out. To answer your first question, coil helpers like the Firestone # F4155 will not raise your Sienna beyond the factory ride height. If the hitch and bike rack are causing some squatting, the air bags will help to minimize that. I used to have a 2013 Sienna and it rode pretty low as well. Really no good way around this unfortunately. For the second question, the # AL25804 compressor is a single path compressor, meaning both bags will be inflated to...

  • Suspension Enhancement for 2021 Ram 1500
Hi Chandler; you won't find helper springs like the # HE94TR you were looking at for your 2021 Ram 1500. The Ram has a coil spring suspension, not leaf springs, which limits your choices for suspension enhancement. However, I do have a couple options you can choose from to get you extra support to level out the truck. The first is the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-47. These have a weight capacity of 1,500 lbs and will level your ride, absorb bumps and shocks, and minimize...

  • Can Air Lift Compressor Kit Handle 10 PSI
Hey William, so the Air Lift Air Shock Controller Compressor System for Air Shock Absorbers # AL25804 that you referenced is rated for up to 160 psi so it would easily handle 100 psi. For a union tee fitting you'd then want the part # F3025-1. If you have an Air Lift air bag the correct replacement elbow fitting is the part # AL52RV.

  • Will Installing Larger Wheels and Tires Affect Fit of Air Bag and Compressor
Hey Steve, great question but just changing the wheels and tire will will not affect the fit of the air bag kit and compressor you plan to install on your 2024 Ram 2500. The only thing that does change things is if you were to install a lift kit which in that case you can just use spacers. Which air bag and compressor kit are you going with?

Hi John; I would go the suspension enhancement route to reduce the sag on your 2022 Ford F-150. Out of all of the options you referenced I would personally choose the # AL82WQ. Air bags have the most adjustability so you can get them just right with your towing setup. They also can be run at the minimum psi so they have no impact on your unloaded ride quality. However, the adjustability can also be a downside if you don't want to mess with it. The easiest way to adjust the air bags is...
