Recommended Air Bags for a 2026 Ford F-350 4WD Dually

I have a 2026 f350 dual wheel 4 wheel drive and a 5th wheel 15,500 gross pin weight around 3000 to 3500 would I be better off with 5000 lb or 7000 lb air bags?

Hey Jim, thanks for the information and congrats on the new truck! With only a 3,500 lbs tongue weight, I recommend the 5,000 lbs capacity Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs item # AL23DQ. This set includes custom fit brackets that are specifically designed for the dually models of the new 2026 Ford F-350.

The Air Lift item # AL23DQ have a 5,000 lbs load leveling capacity that will keep your rear end from sagging while you're towing your 5th wheel trailer. Unless you have a heavy tool box or a large fuel tank in your truck's bed the 5,000 lbs capacity air bags are going to be a great addition both support and comfort wise.

I also recommend adding the Air Lift WirelessAIR item # AL74000EZ to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone or the included remote.

What kind of 5th wheel trailer do you have and do you haul anything in the bed that's significantly heavy while you're towing it?

Thanks Jerred But I forgot I have a 45 gallon auxiliary diesel tank in that bed I have a trailer saver 280 lb air ride hitch in the bed And i also have a washer and dryer that was added to the 5th wheel right over the pin in front I added 2 lithium batteries @ 60 lbs each =120 I also added a Victron Plus 2 @ 60 lbs And there will be a 60 lb generator in the front of the 5th wheel I think that blows the 25 percent of the gross trailer weight for the pin weight out of the water LOL. Also misc tools or whatever ends up in the truck grill etc. do you still feel the 5000 lb bags will be good My Payload on the truck is 5600 lbs I can put in the box. Guys do not realize how the weight adds up when buying a truck or an RV for safe travel that is why I went with the dually. Thank You Jim

@Jim It absolutely does! It's amazing how quick the weight adds up. With this new information, I recommend going with the 7,500 lbs Air Lift item # AL83DQ. These are also specifically designed for the dually models of the 2026 Ford F-350.
