Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Yakima StageTwo Loading Ramp for your bike racks. So this is going to make it much easier for you to load your heavy bikes onto your Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack. Will also make it easier to pick those bikes off. Basically the way this works, you can see we've got those two tabs there on the end.
Those are going to insert into the slot there on end of your bike tray, where arrows pointing. That's going to give you a nice sturdy connection to ensure that it's gonna stay in place as you load the bikes up. So that you can move your bikes up the ramp rather than having to pick them up and set them on the ramp. You'll be able to kind of just ramp them up. Now, this is going to work for the Yakima StageTwo Bike Racks that you see on the screen there.
So, will work with the two bike rack that fits into your inch and a quarter receiver tube. Will also work with the two bike rack that fits into your two inch receiver tube. Both the black and gray models. And it will also work with the four bike rack that fits into your two inch receiver tube. Again, both the black and gray models.
So, a very easy to get this installed and then it is going to kinda compact itself for storage. So to do that, we're just going to flip it over. You can see we've got these two hand nuts that are tightened to here. So we'll undo those. That will allow us to lift up the two pieces and then we'll slide the one under until we get to the other side here and then we attach those nuts.
Like so. Now, in my opinion, this isn't necessarily the most convenient way of doing this. Most convenient design, I guess. I don't know of a better way of doing it. But it is definitely gonna make it a very secure connection for you, so you don't have to worry about the two pieces coming apart as you're loading your bike up. But it does make this a much smaller length for you, so you can very easily store this in your vehicle storage compartment. So when we had it fully extended, we we're out at 65 and a quarter of an inch long. Now, when we have it retracted like this, it's just gonna be 38 and three quarters of an inch long. So definitely making it much more convenient for you to store in your vehicle. And then again, just undo those tabs. Pull it out. Get it up. Align with the right holes to get your bikes loaded up in place. This does have an aluminum construction. So it is gonna be very lightweight and yet very durable. So you won't have to worry about rust and corrosion and that sort of thing. This comes in just under four pounds. It's 3.92 pounds. So definitely not going to be very strenuous to get this hooked up to your bike racks, so that you can load those bikes. So very, very simple to install. And make it easier for you to get those bikes in place. This also comes with a limited lifetime warranty. So, if you we're to have any problems with it, you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. We're always happy to work with our customers to make sure you're getting good quality products and having a good experience. So, if you do have that Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack, you're wanting to take it a little bit easier for yourself to get your bike loaded in place. If you've got a really heavy bike and you don't like lifting up and this is gonna be a great option for you. Like I said, very easy to get those two pieces put together. This end will be on the ground. So it's gonna sit more flush for you. And then the other end is going to attach to your bike rack so you have that nice gentle angle to ramp those bikes up onto the rack. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..
Very sturdy and well made. It works well and certainly makes putting a 60 lb e-bike on the elevated rack solo a cinch. A little pricy but good quality isn't cheap.
Just what I was expecting. Good speedy service from you. Thanks.
I have had Thule, Hollywood, and Saris and the Yakima is the easiest , lightest and holds the bike the best. The connection to the hitch is very firm. The latches that hold the tires and the frame are easy and quick to place on. The ramp makes even a heavy bike easy to get on.
No more lifting heavy bikes.
UPS lost my first order so when I called etrailer back they shipped out a replacement with ni issues.
Need to adapt to the rack I am using it on. Good quality and quick shipping.
An amazing product, sturdy, is easy install, rides great and most of all I feel safe having my bikes attached to the rack!
delivery prompt..these are to aid in balancing rv, and have yet to be used, but certainly going with us on next trip as construction, stackability and quality make these an easy choice.
