Question:
Per your recommendations, for a 2016 Subaru outback for tire size 225-65-17 I would purchase pw1042. On the install video for pw1042 you say to also purchase the rubber adjusters and list the part number as pw105. However, when reading a QandA, the rep clearly stated to buy rubber adjusters part TCMA1 for the pw1042. This is profoundly confusing.

I can understand the confusion, although either of the adjusters can be used.
The Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains # PW1042, which fit the 225/65-17 tires on your 2016 Subaru Outback, can be adjusted with either the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters # PW105 youi referenced or the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA1; the Q&A was just one person's recommendation for that situation.
I happen to like the Glacier Multi-Arm Rubber Adjusters # PW105 because of the metal circle in the middle which holds the arms of the adjusters which isn't going to snap; the other adjuster has a rubber circle holding the arms.
