Today, we're going to review part number P7685. This is the Tekonsha replacement mounting bracket for the Tekonsha Prodigy brake controllers. This part is designed to fit the Tekonsha Prodigy, the Prodigy P2, and the Prodigy P3 brake controllers. This can be used as a replacement part. It usually will come with those brake controllers. If you happen to lose one, you can buy this as a replacement part. What you can also do is you can buy this as an extra so you can put this in another vehicle and make it easy just to transfer your brake controller from one to the other. This kit does include this metal bracket.
It does include the mounting screws. There is four of them; two for mounting the bracket to the brake controller itself and two for installing the mounting bracket onto your vehicle. It also comes with four butt connectors. Two of them are the size ten gauge to twelve gauge and the other two are size fourteen gauge to sixteen gauge. brake controller, have not let put it in, because it is to cold, Adam was excellent in trying to get me the right parts that was missing for the order, he had to try three time to get right part,that ok because he got the part good job Adam, I would return and order for adam again thankyou.
Not quite the bracket I was looking for as I use the same controller in 2 vehicles and wanted the plastic bracket that the P2 just slides and clicks in, but I did a phone order and didn't have the part number. This is still easy enough to use and install. Does the job it is designed to do.
Direct replacement for the original that came with the brake controller. If you need a new bracket for your P1 or P2 this is the one go get.
Harness made it a breeze to install the Prodigy 2 controller in my Ram 1500 . Tip: a portion of the lower dash pops off with the removal of two screws and makes it a LOT easier to see what you are doing.
Not much could go wrong; its only a mounting bracket. Fits perfect. Glad the screws were included as I had lost the old ones. Most pleased with the speed of processing and delivery. Was actually here three days before the expected date.
