The Replacement is 18.5V Lithium-Ion Battery for Solera 18V Power RV Awning # LC387959 if ever needed. Lithium batteries work best when you fully use the cycle meaning fully charge and almost fully discharge. You don't want to overcharge it and also don't want to fully discharge it. As close as you can get in that cycle the best life you'll see from the battery.

  Have you tried manually operating the awning first to verify that it's not a mechanical problem? It most likely is that your battery was dead for too long and now won't take any type of charge though since it probably sat totally dead for a few months. The replacement battery is the part # LC387959 you referenced. Ideally you would have left it charging over the winter or periodically put it on a charger to keep it topped off.

  I reached out to Lippert for help with their Solera 18V Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434730. While they do not have a video or instructions which address removing or installing the new Battery # LC387959 I was instructed the retainers holding in the battery clip in and out of the outer arm.
