This 16' Solera awning runs off an 18-volt rechargeable battery, giving you 20 to 25 uses between charges. It’s perfect if you don’t want to deal with wiring or need something that works great for dry camping. A waterproof switch on the arm lets you extend or retract the awning without going inside. When it’s time to recharge, plug in the included 110V kit—no need to remove the battery. And if you ever run out of power, the manual override lets you retract it with a power drill.

Water pooling can stretch fabric and bend awning arms, but this design takes care of that for you. When rain collects, one arm automatically drops to create a slope that drains the water away. The fabric stays tight, and the arms stay protected—no need to rush outside in a storm to adjust anything.
The built-in pitch arms let you easily lower one side to block glare or keep shade where you need it. You can adjust the angle by hand at the friction joint, and it’ll hold in place until you change it. There’s no need to reset before rolling it in—the awning retracts smoothly regardless of the angle.

Built for tough outdoor use, the fabric is premium 13.5-oz vinyl that’s cold-crack tested to -25°F. The seams are heat-welded to keep rain from leaking through, so it stays strong and watertight through changing weather. The White Fade pattern transitions cleanly across the awning for a simple, modern look.

Installation is simple with bolt-on brackets and an awning rail connection. You’ll need 69" of open wall space from the awning rail straight down and at least 2-1/2" clearance above the entry door. The roller tube arrives with the fabric pre-installed, and the included self-tapping screws secure the arms in place. The Solera awning rail (LC715216) is sold separately and required for mounting the fabric.

There are some folks here that have some hands-on experience with awnings. If you want to send me the questions you have for Lippert, I can pass them on to see if maybe we can get them answered for you. I think there's a good chance we can help you ;)

So,a whole year has passed since we installed the Solera 18cordless power awning. And what a tale. Very first time out after install, week into trip, had a quick storm come up. Wife Says baby its starting to rain, should you roll in the awning? Naw, I say, our new Solera 18 power awning has a dump feature, itll be just fine. So, I take a peek outside and lo,what a belly full of water.so I goes outside and pull on the lowest Arm which immediately fails into twisted bent destruction dumping a half a ton of cold rainwater on my head. Heartbroken!Crushed!Brought to tears! So, after a shameful few minutes of nashing teeth, hair pulling, feet stomping, and cussing, I set to folding up the nightmare that was once my prized new awning. When I calmed down I contacted the fine folks at etrailer who put me in touch with the folks at Solera. Every single person on both sides was helpful and expedient. I soon found out I had not loosened the tension bolts sufficiently to allow the dump feature to work properly. Even so, Solera would stand behind their product and make things right. Yes, read that again, Stand Behind Their Product. The Solera power awning was not available but provisions were made and a brand new set of awning arms showed up at our house. Talk about one happy fella. Yep! That was me. So,I got me a grill going, filled the cooler with adult beverages, waited calmly, and soon a bevy of friends showed up and helped install the new arms. More Cheifs than Braves, but, we got the job done. A little tweaking on the canvas, a little American ingenuity, and before you knowed it the Solera 18 cordless power awning was casting shade and looking pretty. We have had NO problems with it since. Rolls out quickly, rolls in quickly. East to charge. Easy to keep clean. All hardware holding up fine no rust or staining. Canvas still brilliant. This thing is fantastic! Easy to install, easy to use, great looking, and backed by some of the finest folks Ive ever dealt with. Absolutely a great American Made awning at a pretty fair price. I just dont see how anyone could go wrong with it or the companys involved. Etrailer and Solera have made a lifetime customer outa me. Nuff said. Thanks for giving me the chance to brag. Beau.
