Question:

my my Solano battery operated awning will only turn 1/2 turn before shutting off in either direction. I have a 3160 big horn 5th wheel. awning is on the curbside slide out battery is fully charged and don t know if its is the motor or the switch. help

If you are only getting 1/2 a turn on your Solera 18V Power RV Awning then the first thing I would do is apply power directly to the motor (18 volt drill battery). If the awning then works then you know there is an issue with the battery (even if it is fully charged) and it will need to be replaced. The correct replacement we have for this is the 18.5V Lithium Ion Battery for Solera Powered Awning part # LC387959. If the awning does not work when you apply power to the motor then you know the motor is bad and it will need to be replaced. The correct replacement we have for this is the Replacement Motor for Lippert Solera Power Awnings part # LC373566.

The switch is most likely not your issue as it would not turn at all if that were the case.
