Hi, neighbor. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the replacement wheel holder for your Hollywood Racks Sport Rider bike racks, and it's specifically for the left side. Now, folks, this will replace one left-side wheel holder for the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider hitch-mounted, platform-style bicycle carriers. And I'll put those model numbers on the screen, but it's models HR1000, HR1400, and HR1450. Now this will slide along the rack arm and connect with this wing nut here through this inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter square opening here.
And it's going to fit bikes of various lengths. You know, on the rack you can spread 'em out and make 'em work at different lengths and whatnot, and you've got the included hook and loop strap here that you can put through the tire rim, wheel, or whatnot and strap it down. And, again, you got the adjustment knob and the included bolts already installed, ready to go. Nice heavy-duty metallic material that has been powder coated black to be corrosion resistant and resist rust. So, folks, again, a replacement part direct from Hollywood Racks.

This product was the exact replacement I needed for my Hollywood bike rack. It is a very strong and durable piece of steel that is not easily bendable unless it is hit by a car which was my case. I am very pleased with the ease of use and how it secures the bike to the rack.

- Hollywood Racks Wheel Holder Replacements for Standard Width WheelsYour Hollywood Racks fat bike wheel holders will hold the thinner tires, but not as well as the standard size wheel holders. The fat bike holder is 5 inches wide where the standard holder is 3 inches wide. For your 2.3 inch bikes tires, I recommend getting a pair of left side holder # HRSPRWHL and right side holders # HRSPRWHR as you mentioned.

- Opening Size of the Replacement Wheel Holder Part # HRSPRWHLThe Replacement Wheel Holder part # HRSPRWHL is designed to replace the left side wheel holder (see photo) on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider. The opening for the holder that slides onto the support bar is 1-1/4" x 1-1/4". The wheel holder may work with your bike rack but I cannot confirm this unless it is one of the above. If you send me a photo of your bike rack I may be able to identify it for you assuming there is not a brand or model number already on the rack.

- Are Swagman Wheel Holders Interchangeable Between the XTC and XCI spoke with my contact at Swagman about using the # P189 in place of the # P318. He said there would be no problem with the # P189 fitting on the Swagman XTC-2 bike rack. The support bar is the same size on both of these racks. I think the reason your wheel holders may not be holding up is because your recumbent bike is heavier than the weight capacity of your bike rack. I have tested this before and found that the two different racks use different diameter support beams so they aren't interchangeable. For replacement wheel hoops for the Swagman you would want the part # P318. For Hollywood Racks you would want the part # HRSPRWHL.
