Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a brief look at this Derale thermostatic sandwich adapter for GM applications. This high-quality, die-cast aluminum, thermostatic sandwich adapter with the half-inch NPT ports is going to provide external lines for simple installation of an oil cooler without having to reposition your oil filter, allowing oil cooler than 180 degrees to bypass your heat exchanger. So, it's going to ensure a quicker engine warm-up. Now, this is going to install between your stock engine oil filter landing and the oil filter so your stock filter is retained.
And the engine filter thread size is 13/16 of an inch by 16. This also includes a 13/16 of an inch by 16 sleeve nut that you can see right here. And then as you can see here, this also includes an O-ring and the O-ring diameter is 3 1/2 inches. And the overall thickness of this sandwich adapter itself, sitting right at 2 1/4 inches thick.
