Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today we're going to be checking out the replacement strap for the Curt Echo wireless brake controller. Really not a whole lot to this here. It is a direct replacement. So you know it's going to work and it sure beats trying to go to the store and find a strap and kind of make do with it. You know, there's a reason they give you these and that's because they want you to use them.
So the way this is going to work is it's just going to feed up through those openings there on the side of your echo and you can bring it up and over your seven way cap, through the opening on the other side, let it go. You're going to have a catch there and we kind of just strap it into place. And this is just going to provide a little more support. You know, the echo is relatively large. You know so it does add a little bit of weight there.
And so by kind of sucking everything together, it's going to help keep it stable and everything else. So it's going to be a perfect solution for those of you that may have misplaced a strap, or maybe you used it a lot, and it ended up cracking or breaking on you. So whatever the case may be, this'll gets the job done. So for those of you that are just kind of wondering, if you need to know this, the strap from end-to-end is about 10 and three eighths of an inch. And on the end of it there we're going to have a few different adjustment holes.
And those are there just to accommodate different types of seven way caps. You know, every seven way is a little bit different. There's a bunch of different styles. And so by having the little bit of adjustability, you're going to have a confidence knowing that the strap is going to do its job. So at the end of the day a great way to replace the strap that you've already had or maybe even pick up a spare to throw in your glove box, just to have an extra..
Don't use the strap anymore because the Curt Echo was intermittently causing trailer brakes to lock no matter what the setting was so we don't use it and instead use a Tekonsha Prodigy.
Exactly what I was looking for.. part as described and fast shipping
Poorly designed but functional. Pin is easy dislodged and lost.
Exactly what I needed and it came to me very quicky. As usually Etrailer is my 1st goto place for anything needed for any of my trailers. I have never been dissatisfied!
Product arrived quickly and was as desc ribed.
I suspect it will eventually break again. The first one lasted two years. I probably need to create some sort of ratcheted concoction lol!
It's a rubber strap. It works well, as long as you don't over-tighten it. Did that once and it slipped off it's attachment knob during the trip. Have used it for about a year with my Curt Echo connected to my travel trailer. 10 sub-100 mile camping trips. These come with the Echo, but my dealer somehow lost it when setting up our newly purchased trailer (I know - big surprise, right?), and rather than wait for them to hem and haw over what to do about it, I ordered this one from etrailer. If it ever breaks, I'll order another.
I ordered 2 of these replacement straps so I would have a backup, which has proven to be a good idea. The little nub on the original strap that fits in the hole to secure the brake controller broke off, rendering the entire thing useless. The first replacement strap from this order had the same problem after just a couple of uses. The second strap seems to be holding (so far). The strap needs a more robust design (velcro?). But I've also successfully used plastic cable ties.
The rubber safety strap on my Curt Bluetooth brake controller broke. I bought this replacement strap. A perfect fit.
good backup strap for the Brake controller but i tend to lose them after a few uses, a tighter fitting nub might help
The one star is not for etrailer, they are 5 stars! it's for the strap, a manufacturer issue; the reason i bought this strap is that the button eyelet tore off the original strap, so you can't use it; with this 2nd strap, i was very careful to not over tighten it, but after about 10 uses, the eyelet is again starting to tear; i've stopped using it, just going to use a lenght of velcro going forward
Perfect replacement strap for my Echo Trailer Brake. The other strap was slowly failing and I don't want to lose the brake controller.
After one of the straps on my Echo brake controller broke, I went looking for another plus a spare. etrailer had the best price and quickly sent them my way.
The actual brake controller didn't come with packaging so I had to buy replacement! Sad but replacement was very polite and enjoyed the fast customer service. Great company overall!
Does the job holding in the Curt Echo the the plug. Just added safety.
Cheap rubber band, the 'button' fell out while installing ! I will not trust this cheap rubber band to keep a $300 controller from falling off on first pot hole. Not OEM
Absolute garbage! The little rubber nub broke off after the first use. You're better off using a rubber band than this piece of junk!
Excellent customer service follow-up after Order received and identified parts issue resolved very quickly. Thanks for the very effective communication.
Excellent service, quick shipping, good price.
Great item (wish that we got this when we bought the controller)
Couldn't find this anywhere else. Perfect replacement. Good price. Thanks.
Original broke within five minutes. Hope this lasts ten minutes.
It's just a little piece but it's something you have to have. I was happy to find a replacement available.
Replacement strap is what I needed.
Needed more straps these were price good
