Today we're going to be taking a look at part number CE22011Z. This is the replacement U-bolt for CE Smith spare tire carriers for trailers. The U-bolt can be used with 2 lug nuts to secure spare tire to your trailer. Lug nuts are sold separately. It can be found right here on our website at etrailer.com. This is going to be constructed from a zinc-plated steel, very strong, sturdy, long-lasting, and corrosion resistant.
It's made in the USA. It's designed to fit 4 lug and 5 lug wheels, up to 15 inches. It's going to be designed for trailer frames, rails, and tongues up to 3 inches wide. If we take a measurement starting here, inside edge to inside edge. That's going to give some measurement of 3 and one-sixteenth of an inch. That's going to be the portion that slides our around our trailer frame, rail, or tongue.
Inside edge to inside edge here at the base, that's going to measure 3 and three-quarters of an inch. The length that this offers from the bottom of the bar to the end of threaded portion is going to be about 12 inches. Then from the top of that bar to the threaded portion, measuring here to the end, is about 12 and one-quarter of an inch. Now the diameter of the threads, it's going to measure seven-sixteenths of an inch. This unit is going to contain 20 threads per inch. Really simple installation, place this portion around your trailer frame, rail, or tongue.
Then you're going to place your spare tire over the threaded portion, making sure that it comes though the lug holes, and then you'd secure it with some lug nuts. That's going to do it for our review of part number CE22011Z. This is the replacement U-bolt for CE Smith spare tire carrier for trailers. .

Constructed of sturdy, zinc-plated steel, it holds 4-lug and 5-lug wheels up to 15".Exactly what I was going to build from scratch for holding the spare tire for the transport trailer for our 1962 Bell 47 G3B Helicopter. It came to us with the stair strapped down, not safe or secure. This u bolt solves the issue and did not require any work to the trailer. Very clever to have made this item.
Needed a way to carry spare without it being in way. This was perfect solution for my trailer.
Our trailer has a 5" channel frame and the normal 8" U-Bolt was too short. This is just what I needed to mount my spare. Shipping was lightning fast too!!!! Thanks!
Bought this to mount a spare tire to my trailer with an oversized frame. Looks like it will work pertectly
My only issue is that the nuts from my old U bolt where larger, so I could not use them. Then I when to the hardware store and they did not have the fine thread nuts to fit. I think you should include them with the U bolt. Even if you had to charge a couple of $ more. I would pay the extra $ instead of wasting gas and time going to different places trying to find them.

No signs of rust so far and I have not had to re-tighten it since its install.
