Video Transcript for Feature Review Lift Extenders for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems

Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Lift Extenders for HappiJac Truck Camper Jacks. If you are using your HappiJac in a more lifted truck or something that's going to be a little bit higher off the ground and your HappiJac just isn't able to get the amount of purchase that you need it to, to take your truck bed camper out of your bed, this is going to give you a six-inch extension to attach to the bottom of those jacks so you can drive away without having to worry about everything fitting and everything working right. They're pretty simple, just four extensions here. They do have a convex and then a concave end. Our concave should match up to our bed, so basically that's the one that kind of bows up like a little dish that should go on the top towards our jack and then the bowed out or convex one will go towards the ground. That just helps it adjust a little bit to different levels of pavement or softer ground like if you're on gravel or dirt or something, it just gives it a better connection with the ground. So once we have that in place, we can take our included hardware, drop that down through the bottom of our jack into the top here and then connect everything together.

So we'll have a bolt and a lock nut for each attachment point. There'll be two per extender. So pretty straightforward. These should match up directly with that HappiJac foot, but I'm going to give you some measurements here. These are going to be six inches long. Overall, they're about six and a half inches tall from where it bows out to the top of the lip here.

But because of that design where it kind of bows out and bows in, you really get about six inches of lift. So if we go from the inside edge here to the inside edge there, it's about six inches for this welded portion. The footprint of these it's about three and three-quarters inches across, and then about four and a half inches front to back. They are made in the USA, completely welded construction with a black powder- coat finish so they shouldn't have any issues with rust or corrosion. They'll give you that six inches of lift that you need to get your embed camper off of your truck.

And that's going to do it for our look at the lift extenders for HappiJac truck camper jacks..

Provided the additional extension height needed when switching from a conventional 3500 pickup truck bed to a 4500-5500 flatbed, very sturdy and simple bolt-on attachment…

Has been working out perfectly while also preventing the Jack post from being over-extended past it’s designated limits - a definite ’must have’!

Working great. I needed an extra little boost as I have a flat bed truck with out the boost only had 2 or so inches of clearance. With the extension I got tons of clearance. A good investment.

  • HappiJac Extenders and Manual Crank Handle Replacements
Hey Charles, thanks for reaching out! For extenders we have the 6" Lift Extenders # LC182495 and then for the manual crank we have one with a 4" Long Shaft # LC182436 or an 8" Long Shaft # LC1824362 for your application. We don't have any power drill adapters, but you should be able to create your own once you get the manual crank. Is there anything else you're needing to replace or upgrade on your setup?

  • Can Weigh Safe Stabilizing Blocks be Used with HappiJac System on a Slide-In Camper?
Hey Jason, thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can use the Weigh Safe Flap Jack Folding RV Stabilizing Blocks # WS78ER for holding your slide-in camper up with the HappiJac system. An alternative is the Lift Extenders Kit # LC182495 which offer a 6" lift and are installed directly to the HappiJac jacks - so you don't have to remember to pack them up OR set them up. Will the 6" lift work for your application? Or are you needing the 8" lift specifically?

  • Can The LC182495 Lift Extenders Bolt Work With Atwood Jacks?
Hello Kenny, thanks for reaching out. The # LC182495 Lift Extenders are designed to be used with HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems. They may work with Atwood jacks, but this is not something we have tested. Basically, as long as the Atwood jack has the same bolt hole spacing (3-1/8" on center) the extenders would bolt up and work fine.

  • Dimensions of the Lift Extenders for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems Tube
I contacted the manufacturer about the dimensions of the Lift Extenders for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems # LC182495. They informed me that the Lift Extenders for HappiJac Truck Camper Jack Systems # LC182495 are made from the same tubing used to make the inner leg of the camper jack and that the tube is 1.75” square.

  • Swing-Out Hinge Recommendation For HappiJac (Dually)
Truck campers are certainly a cool, niche way to go rv'ing, and I can understand why you'd want some additional clearance getting past that wheel well on your dually Ford F-350 to make the experience even more enjoyable. The # LC182496 hinge set is the one I'd recommend most. If you ever decide to make some cool modifications to your dually that will raise its suspension, you might also consider purchasing the Lift Extenders # LC182495 to assist with any clearance issues that may arise.

  • What Drill Bit Should I Use To Drill Into My Jack Stands
When drilling into your jack stands I would recommend using a 135 degree drill bit like The 5/8 inch Drill Bit # 7164. This drill bit has 135 degree split points which will give you an easier start on flat surfaces. It is made of high carbon, M-2 steel for maximum durability and minimum brittleness.
