Product installed exactly as described in the instructions without any problems.

2011 Ford Super Duty

Went in very easily in a 2011 super duty long bed - by myself, installation took about five hours for hitch rails and in-bed 7 pin connector that came as a kit with 18K head, but i was moving slowly. Head unit came pre-assembled. The rails themselves are very heavy, much heavier than my old above bed rails - I have no doubt this will last forever. It'll be nice to have the whole bed of my truck without rails in the way - there is absolutely nothing that rises above the bed floor.

by:

First, your customer service rep was the best. She was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Secondly, the hitch shipped so fast (we were in a hurry for it) so that was very wonderful! We installed the product the same night as we received it, the instruction were very straight forward and made installation easy. And we're now ready to pick up our new fifth wheel. Thanks again for all of your help! These comments also apply to product RP30142 the fifth wheel hitch with wiring harness.

Package came openings everywhere.the package of bolts was opened. One one puck adapter was in the package of bolts, only one bracket for the frame rail was in the box. I need the rest of the hardware please. So much for using the 5th wheel for mother's day weekend I guess

by:
Ford F-250 Super Duty

Under the bed puck system. The worse part about the installation was getting the 8 hex bolts loose in the bed. Good grief!
After that, everything went well as all the parts fit my F250 perfectly. All the different nuts, bolts, and brackets. More voodoo magic. The holes i had to cut in the bed were marked with dimples courtesy of Ford. I’m not a mechanic with every tool imaginable and didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn, so it took longer than others I’m guessing but it’s all tight, and works great. I like the idea of taking the 5th wheel out to have a flat floor in the bed.

by:
Ford F-350 Super Duty

My new F350 didn't have the under bed 5th wheel mount and I didn't want to use the rails that bolt across the bed. I bought the Reese under bed parts, Reese adapter, new legs for the hitch and a bed mat and installed it myself. I drilled through the dimples in the bed, bolted in the under bed parts and everything lined up nice. Since I went from a short bed to a long bed I didn't need the slider legs so I replaced them with fixed legs. When the hitch and adapter are out of the bed, nothing is in the way on the floor. I like it.

I can't stress enough how satisfied I am with this product and etrailer customer service.
Thanks for you time.

by:

The product has been excellent. Installation instructions and videos on etrailer were very helpful and made installation much easier. Having the under-bed rails is convenient because it allows full access to the bed when the hitch is taken out.

Customer service with etrailer was worth 5 stars alone. We had some shipping issues (with the carrier - not etrailer) and receiving this package was time sensitive and they helped us get everything straightened out so we could receive a replacement in the timeframe needed. Will definitely purchase from here again!

Excellent! Weve towed our trailer using this setup for thousands of miles, all across the country, with zero issues.

Great product. And purchased from a great company!

The package was pretty beat up when it arrived (one end of the box was hanging completely open). But I doubt etrailer had anything to do with that as it was taped from top to bottom. Most likely it was a shipping and handling issue. But surprisingly, all of the parts were in the box. The one bracket had apparently taken a little impact as a little of the black finish was off, but it's a hitch... so it'll be fine.

The hitch install went as described in the instructions. And the installation videos online were a tremendous help. The biggest suggestion I can make... don't expect to install the hitch without lifting the bed. And when removing the bed bolts, expect them to be tight - very tight their entire length. But installation went well and the results look great. Now we just have to wait for some better weather to go camping.

Thanks for a great product at a great price.

I cant believe its been a year since I installed the new rails. Having the rails under the bed is the best idea ever brought to the 5th wheel community. If you are wondering which rails to buy - stop debating and buy the under the bed type!

by:
2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This part was well worth the price as it allowed me to adapt my present 5th wheel hitch to the underbed rail system. I did not have to purchase a new 5th wheel trailer hitch to fit the factory 5th wheel prep option on my Ford F-250 Super Duty.

Installed it on my 2014 F350 without a problem. Would recommend it. The price was good. If I get another pickup without the puck system, I would buy one of these and do it myself again.

Great. No problems at all.

by:

The fifth wheel flush mount hitch is great. The biggest problem was the hitch was not shipped on time And it arrived 2 days late. Plus the parts are heavy and it was poorly package and the package arrived busted open and the one frame mounting plate was missing. I needed to have it installed the next day but could not because of the missing part. Contacted etrailer and UPS to try and track down the missing part.
Lucky UPS did locate the part the next day. The main issue is that Heavy parts are not packaged adequately.

by:
2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty

I bought this under mount system because I had the Ford factory system on my last truck so I already owned the receiver. My new truck didn't have the factory option. It all works good together. My only complaint is that the receiver is very heavy to remove from the truck bed. I finally bought a chain hoist that I hang from my garage ceiling that allows me to remove the receiver alone. I also bought a 4 wheel platform that allows me to roll it over to the side of my garage when not in use. I guess heavy duty is a good thing, but my son has a different system which is rated just as high in his F-350 which is a much lighter lift when he wants to clear his truck bed.

by:

Etrailer is top notch, excellent customer service. I like the Reese under bed 5th wheel system. It is nice not dealing with rails in the bed. The install took me longer than 4 hours, I found it necessary to block both sides of the bed to get the system in place. It took a little finesse to get the front drivers side bolt in (bracket to the frame bolt). It is above the fuel tank, had to use a long socket extension and sneak the nut in from underneath. The only problems I had were the powder coating was flaking off in spots on the rail system. I had to scrape it down sand off the rust that had already started, prime and paint it. And there were no instructions in the box.

by:

Knowing that I was going to be a "full timer" in a 5th Wheel, I also wanted the option of having a full 8 foot truck bed without having surface rails in order to haul furniture, bulk items, that's why I chose this product...!

You cannot go wrong with this installation, besides it adds value to your truck, a clean professional installation was done under 2 hours...nice...!

by:
2012 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty

It works like it's supposed to and quick and easy to remove the hitch with this puck
system. Installation was not too bad and I did it myself. I removed the hitch so I could haul some plywood and it was very easy and only took a couple of minutes.
Great product !

by:
2016 Ford F-350 Super Duty

Very satisfied with the 5th wheel kit. Installed it myself in about two hours. I subsequently added the gooseneck kit also. It would have been smarter to do both at the same time. Nevertheless, the product is well engineered and fit my F350 perfectly.

by:

Customer service was excellent. Product was back ordered, but etrailer kept me up to date on the progress and expected shipment date. Package arrive in great condition. Instructions were easy to follow and installation time was about four hours. Removing spare tire makes the installation much easier.

by:

Product is very good and install was straight forward as expected. Only item to make a note on is the measurements for where the dimples are in the truck bed are for an 8 foot bed not a 6 3/4 foot bed. And if you have a spray on bed liner as I did this becomes a little challenging. However once this is sorted out the install is good. The sweat equity involved is worth it for a much cleaner look than the above bed rails systems n my opinion.

by:

This fit our 2016 F250 perfectly. One suggestion for those installing it themselves would be to leave the rail bolts a little loose and install the 5th wheel. This will allow you to adjust out some of the fore and aft play out of the 5th wheel before tightening everything down.

by:
Volvo Cross Country

Once I loosened the truck bed it was very easy to get your unit installed. Everything went together as advertised and it fit all the bolt holes perfectly.

I installed the Reese Elite hitch on the unit and will be picking up our new camper in April to start our first of 3 cross country adventures.

by:
2012 Ford F-250 Super Duty

This product was purchased to add to my 2012 F250 shortbed pickup for the ability to pull my fifth wheel camper. It was delivered very quickly but I did pay for the 3-5 day shipping. Within an hour of it's delivery I was installing the unit. It comes with a very detailed instruction book and there is also a video highlighting the installation on etrailer's website that is very helpful. The hitch installed in about an hour with air powered tools with just myself. Be warned this is probably a 2 person install part due to the weight of the rails. It is very well made and fits perfectly. I highly recommend this product if you do not want the conventional rail system. I did need an adapter to make it work with my existing sliding hitch. Part number RP30156.

by:
2015 Ford F-350 Super Duty

ALL of my orders and business with etrailer result in Outstanding service, Expedious delivery and Superb product condition upon receipt! This order of my new Reese Elite 5th wheel assembly, Underrail 5th wheel kit, and Gooseneck kit assembly meets those same conditions I stated above. Thank you E-trailer for another stress-free and wonderful experience with your business and very professional staff! Your business is my first choice when shopping online for all product of this type. Sincerely Dennis R.

by:

This installation is not for the inexperienced. It requires drilling precise holes in the pickup bed. That said, once installed, it is very difficult to distinguish this kit from a factory install. Product was used on a 2016 Ford F250 SB

  • Will the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit Work on a 2024 Ford F-350 w/out the Puck System?
Hey Tom! I am sorry but the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit item # RP30126 only fits up to the 2016 model years and no one makes a comparable after market puck system for the 2024 F-350's.
