The Pucks on the Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit for Reese Elite Series 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Trailer Hitches Item # RP30126 require a 2-3/4" hole. I recommend first verifying if the hole you cut into the bed actually comes out to 2-3/4" and that there's no metal shavings or bits hanging on in the way impeding the pucks from dropping in. I've had saw blades saw they're a certain measurement and be slightly off before because most blades are machine manufactured and there's always a chance a machine made product could be defective. I recommend also checking the pucks to make sure there's no extra bits on them causing the hold up for the same reason.

If these are still too tight after checking that you could possibly have something in the way under the bed causing the pinch. While the bed is lifted off the frame ensure the the rail is properly bolted in place and that the holes are in the correct spot per the instructions. If your holes are slightly off this could also be causing the tightness you're experiencing. Some manufacturers will have markers in the bed for a puck system to be installed but it's always best to double check the measurements.
