This semi-custom installation kit gives you the solid foundation you need for towing. The brackets mount beneath the truck bed to create secure attachment points for the above-bed base rails. The complete kit includes the base rails, semi-custom brackets, and all the mounting hardware you need to get your fifth wheel hitch ready to use. Some drilling is required, but the setup is straightforward and built for strength once installed.
The base rails use the industry-standard pattern, so you can drop in a hitch from popular brands like CURT, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Reese, Valley, or Husky. That means you can stick with the hitch you already own or change brands later without needing new rails.
The visible base rails have a gloss finish that blends nicely with your hitch and provides a clean, finished look in the bed. It’s a simple detail that makes the setup look as solid as it performs.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the CURT semi-custom fifth wheel installation kit with the gloss black base rails for the Ford F-150 trucks. Now, this is designed to fit the 2004 to 2011 Ford F-150 trucks. What I would recommend for you to do is go to our website and use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now, this kit here is a complete installation kit. It'll allow you to install a fifth wheel to your truck bed.
The kit will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the side custom fit mounting brackets, the base rails, all the hardware you need for installation, and a nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how it all goes together. Now, these side brackets here, I wanna zoom in on those, they are semi-custom fit brackets. They're designed to mount beneath your truck bed and they provide the attachment points you can see for your fifth wheel rails. They do have a black powder coat finish on them to resist corrosion.
And as we mentioned, these are semi-custom brackets. They are required if you're not using a custom mounting bracket kit. These provide a semi-custom fit which will cut down the installation time when compared with the universal bracket kits. Now, to install these brackets, drilling is required. Now, the base rails, which are these parts right here, these will sit in your truck bed and they allow the installation of the fifth wheel trailer hitch to your vehicle.
These rails are visible in your truck bed. If you notice, these have a nice gloss black finish to them to match the color of your fifth wheel hitch. And these rails are industry standard rails which means they're compatible with B&W, CURT, Draw-Tite, Reese, and Husky above-bed fifth wheel trailer hitches. But that should do it for the review on the CURT semi-custom fifth wheel installation kit with the gloss black base rails for the Ford F-150 trucks.
