This Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit makes setup fast and simple. The custom brackets bolt to existing holes in the frame, so no drilling is required. Hello again, neighbors and friends. I'm Steven, and today we're looking at the CURT Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit. This guy's got a black carbide finish on it. Now, this is a custom fit. It does fit the 2015 to 2023 Ford F-150, all bed lengths out there. But keep in mind anything that's a custom fit, make sure you're going to our website, etrailer.com.
Use the Fit Guide in the center top of the screen, enter your year, make, and model. Make sure you're getting the right part the first time. Now, these custom brackets will mount beneath your bed of the truck, and they're gonna provide attachment point for these top rails, or bed rails as they call them, for your fifth wheel to install on. Now, these bed rails do sit on top of your bed, so this part is visible outside of the the truck itself, and they're gonna allow installation of that fifth wheel trailer hitch. They do work with CURT, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Husky, Reese, Valley, and most above bed fifth wheel trailer hitches.
It is assembled here in the USA. Again, it has a nice carbide finish, black powder coat carbide finish, and you will get these custom brackets. Let me zoom in on these real quick. Now, it's gonna come with some spacer blocks in the kit. You may or may not use all these on the outside of the frame.
Some go inside the frame. Make sure you're checking the instructions as far as that goes. Here's a picture of what those brackets look like. Now, in that graphic there, they're just on their side. Keep in mind they would be inverted upright and hanging over the top of the frame.
So pretty much what, like I got, showed up here for the demo. So again, everything here in the picture you're looking at is loose right now, so just keep that in mind. Again, not all these spacer blocks and everything will be where they're at in this video. Depending on your truck, some may go under the bed, some may go over the bed. It just depends on the bed length of that particular year and the spacing and that kind of stuff. Now, again, this is a no-drill required install, so all your custom brackets mount right into preexisting holes in the truck frame. Now, that being said, the top rails here or the bed rails, those do require drilling down through the bed, obviously. The instructions that come with it are gonna give you dimensions on all of that. Pretty simple install, just follow it and you'll be fine. You're gonna get some fish wires, a couple extra spacers, an extra bolt and washer depending on the particular year. And then this white stuff here is what they call a galvanic isolator. So with most of these new Ford trucks, they've got the aluminum beds and that kind of stuff going on. You wanna make sure you're putting this in between the steel and the aluminum to make sure you got no corrosion and isolation going on there. And again, that's all mentioned in the instructions as well. You can also watch some videos on our website, etrailer.com, as far as how to install this as well. Now again, keep in mind, this is a custom bracket install kit, so your installation time is gonna be cut in half compared to the other universal bracket kits that we sell and that other people sell as well.
