This hitch takes care of turning clearance on its own. The built-in rack-and-pinion gears automatically move the hitch head up to 14" toward the tailgate during tight, slow-speed turns, then slide it back into position when you straighten out. You never have to get out to pull a lever or guess at your cab-to-trailer clearance—the hitch adjusts itself smoothly and consistently every time you turn.
The wraparound jaw fully encloses the king pin for 360-degree contact, so you get a solid, rattle-free connection that feels steady down the highway. A 3/4" thick steel locking bar sits in front of the jaw for another layer of security, automatically engaging when the jaw closes. The result is a confident hookup that reduces chucking and metal-on-metal noise while towing heavy rigs.
The double-pivot head moves both front to back and side to side, making it easier to line up and hook on uneven ground. Three polyurethane dampeners cushion the motion to cut down on road shock and vibration, so your truck and trailer ride more comfortably together over long hauls.
Three height positions let you match your pin box height for a level setup and proper bed rail clearance. The hitch mounts on Demco’s underbed system, leaving the bed clear when you take it out. You can remove it in sections—the head comes off separately—to make handling easier without special equipment.

A year later….. So I took the camper out 5 times this summer. Had zero issues with the hitch. Unhooking was a little tricky for me. I would raise the camper, pull the latch on the hitch, go to pull the truck away….only for the latch to lock in again. This happened to me several times but I blame myself for lack of experience. This has become less of an issue the more I unhook from the camper. Overall I’m happy with the hitch and would recommend.

It has worked great so far so good however wave expresshorizon transport does not accept this manufacturer’s hitch. I pull a 12,800 something pound fifth wheel camper loaded has done great no issues. Here’s hoping it last 20 years.

Great pointer with the hoist Tanner, this thing is a beast! It is so awesome to not have to get out of the truck to be able to make those tight turns. Any big adventures coming up this year? Where are you going, what are you seeing?
