Question:

Im looking for a hitch and wiring for Ford Escape Hybrid. It looks like not all hitches work on the hybrid. Escape can tow up to 1500 pounds, so I assume a class one or two hitch. We would tow a utility trailer with items for the dump

Hi Christa!

Most of the hitches will fit your 2025 Ford Escape Hybrid, but the PHEV will be a little different. With that said, I recommend grabbing the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e89YR. This will fit you Hybrid model and the matte finish will help it blend in and make it look more stock than the gloss finish most other brands use.

I doesn't look like we carry a Class 1 or Class 2 hitch for your vehicle, but having the 2" receiver this comes with will be better anyway. There tends to be more accessories available for that size hitch. Just keep in mind you are limited by the lowest rated component, your Escape in this case, and you cannot tow or carry more just because the hitch is rated for it.

For the wiring, I recommend grabbing the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # TK57CR. I have found Tekonsha to make the most reliable wiring harnesses in the business, so it is the one to get.
