Does Atwood still make 6 gal gas hot water heaters for RVs?

Hey David, thanks for reaching out. Atwood water heaters have been discontinued for quite some time as Atwood is no longer in business. We do still carry a water heater with a 6 gallon tank, the Dometic # DMC74FR. Even standard water heaters like this are getting rarer because most people are switching to tankless. That's what I highly recommend checking out to save energy and get instant hot water, and you can replace the Atwood with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR68SR. just keep in mind this Furrion unit is 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall x 19-1/4" deep overall, so your cutout may need to be modified to allow it to fit.

Is there a tankless water heater that you would recommend for a motor home that has a 6 gal Atwood lp/electric Thanks

@CarolynB Yes the Furrion # FR68SR is what I recommend for that. Just like I mentioned above the tankless unit will be smaller than the tanked one so some modification of the cutout will be required. Also please confirm the 18"x18" door will work for you.
