What Is The Static And Dynamic Weight Capacity Of The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack RR97XE?
Question:
Hi there, are the weight capacities listed for your roof bars static or dynamic ratings? I have a 2025 Subaru Outback Wilderness that Id like to eventually put a roof top tent on, and I would like to make sure whatever bars I purchase will be able to hold the weight. Thanks!

Hey Sean, thanks for reaching out. The weight capacities listed for our roof racks are the dynamic capacities. The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack for Raised Rails # RR97XE you were looking at has a 165 lb dynamic capacity. There is no static weight capacity rating for these bars. They can hold whatever the roof can hold so the static capacity will be determined by your vehicles roof. Subaru should be able to tell you the exact roof capacity, or it should be in your owners manual.
Also, I will add that the # RR97XE roof rack you were looking at is the correct fit for your 2025 Subaru Outback Wilderness.

Ah perfect Jesse! Thanks! Yeah I think the Wilderness model has a static weight rating of 700lbs or something so that should be perfect. Have a great day!
