Hey Desirerme, so the Curt Echo # C51180 did have some initial problems when the switched it over to the OneControl app which was super annoying, but have you tried checking to see if they have a newer version of the app you can download? A lot of times you can fix this issue by updating to newest version of the app.

I actually figured it out after getting out of the 114° sun here in Phoenix. The brake controller was connected to the vehicle and the trailer like we usually do, but Since we were using the new app for first time, I was supposed to set up the controller before connecting the trailer, I've set it up and tomorrow I will go and connect the trailer and see if it works now, had the leave the trailer at the service center. I'll let you know if it worked. Thanks!! Desiree

Once I was able to get the Echo brake controller connected via the app, after connecting the trailer 7 pin the app doesn't recognize that the trailer is connected. App is the most current version available.

@DaytonD So the new app is pretty frustrating but we have heard that if you set up the controller before connecting a trailer that will usually help. Try that and let me know if that works.

I am having no luck trying to connect my ECHO Smart brake controller via the OneControl Auto app. After creating a new account I get a screen telling me to authorize location permissions in order to proceed with the connection process. My location permissions are all authorized but I can’t get it to advance to the next step…? Very frustrating when we want to head out with the camping trailer tomorrow. I’m faced with the prospect of going without trailer brakes…!

@JamesS Is it possible the fuse for that circuit is blown? It would be the 12 volt accessory circuit under your hood.
