Question:

I have successfully paired the Echo brake controller to my phone, but for some reason the manual button wont pair. I follow all the steps, start scanning and press and hold the override button but it always says not found. I do notice something and Im not sure if its right. When I press and hold the button, the red led at the top of the button slowly flashes briefly and then goes out. Then when I release the button it does the same thing, slowly flashes red briefly and goes out. Ive tried a different battery, not a brand new battery, but one that I should at least be enough, but still the same slow flash and goes out in press and then again on release. I would appreciate any help you can provide.

I have a couple things you can check that may help you. First check to make sure you have the most up to date version of the Curt Echo app and that your app has permission for Bluetooth active. Also in the app you will need to make sure that a manual override Button # C83HR is not already paired on the app. It will fail to add another button if it thinks there is already another button connected in the app. The red light flash is normal operation.
