Replacement Cable And Lock For Thule Vertex Bike Rack
Published 10/01/2021 >
Question:
I lost my key for the integrated cable on the Thule Vertex bike rack. We had to cut the cable to get the bikes off the rack. Is it possible to buy a replacement cable and lock, and if so, how hard is it to install? I am able to get the remains of the cable out of the cylinder, as my husband still has his key but didnt when we needed it!. Thanks.

The integrated cable is not a replaceable part unfortunately. However I'd recommend to just use a separate cable lock like the Thule Cable Lock w/ One Key System Lock # TH538XT.
Additionally, you can put your existing lock core into the cable lock # TH538XT if you wanted to retain your original keys.
