Question:

Im building a slide-in camper out of foam/fiberglass. Total weight will be under 800 lbs. Which brophy jack system would you recommend? Also, how much horizontal clearance is required between jack rails and side of truck bed how much hangover in other words? Thanks.

For your horizontal clearance this will really come down to your specific truck as well. The Brophy Cable Camper Jacks have an offset lifting point that is designed to even with the legs of the jacks themselves. So if your truck has fenders that may bulge as it approaches the wheel wells, or your tires are wider than the outer fenders this would cause them to contact the stand and would not work. I personally would want to see at least 4" from the widest point to ensure enough clearance. Also since you are building it yourself you may want to put a piece of steel channel on the sides when lifting to ensure you have enough strength to support the camper when lifting it.

For the stands I recommend that will also depend on your truck.

The Brophy Cable Camper Jacks # CJ41 have a maximum lift of 57". So you will want to ensure that will be high enough for your truck.
