Question:
Not knowing much about wood, would you purchase the above with or without wood?

Expert Reply:
Different species and grades of wood have different characteristics for durability and strength. Unless you have a trusted local lumber yard you can rely on for guidance I recommend using the TorkLift Camper Packer Camper Stand Kit with Lumber # TLA7012 instead of the kit without lumber # TLA7010.
TorkLift has tested and rated their complete kit # TLA7012 for 6000-lbs capacity so you know what you can and cannot do with it, without guesswork or worrying. Selecting your own lumber might save a few dollars but then you're introducing an unknown. With your safety and your camper's safety at stake I would stick with the lumber-included kit.
Since kit # TLA7012 qualifies for etrailer.com's free shipping the higher weight of the complete kit won't cost you any more.
