Question:
This might be a dumb question but I cant seem to find an answer anywhere... I am looking at a 2019 Ford Fusion SE AWD. I was wondering if it would be able to handle a 4 bike hitch rack I were to purchase the 2 hitch available here. I just want to make sure ground clearance isnt going to be an issue. Thanks for any advice!

I definitely recommend going with the available 2" receiver EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 306-X7239 instead of a 1-1/4" receiver since many more accessories will fit the 2" opening. If you wish to carry 4 bikes then the 2" receiver is the way to go.
There are several bike racks that have a raised shank which provides more ground clearance for lower vehicles. You could look into the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches # HR4000. This secures up to 4 bikes by their frame and works well with bikes that have fenders or baskets. It has a raised shank that will increase your ground clearance by 3-3/4". A more budget friendly option is the Swagman Titan 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # S63410. This is a hanging rack that also secures the bikes by their frame and also has a raised shank that will increase your ground clearance. If you plan to haul women's, children's, or step-thru bikes then you will want to also use Adapter Bar # 64005 on this Swagman bike rack. I attached a few demonstration videos that you can check out.
