Question:
I have a 2012 Nissan Titan Pro 4X. Will the Timbren TNRTTN help with payload capacity? My truck is rated at 1850 lbs of payload and my truck camper loaded with two passengers will run about 2250 lbs. Just wondering if there is any assist from Timbren system or will I need to add another leaf spring. Thanks.

Expert Reply:
Adding suspension enhancement like the Timbren # TNRTTN you referenced does substantially help with load support and reducing sag, however it does not increase the payload capacity of your truck. Your 2012 Nissan Titan Pro 4X will have the same 1850 lbs of payload but the system will assist with stability by reducing squat, reducing body roll, and assisting with shock absorption.
It will assist far better than adding a leaf spring as that will change the ride of your truck when not loaded, where this will only engage as needed and is rated for up to 6,000 lbs. The payload of your truck is based on the box, the frame, the suspension, the axle and other components so this system is rated independently but will be a great support as needed.
