Question:
hi i have a 2004 ford f150 with a factory installed trailer hitch. im looking to replace it, it rusted out. i saw a note that you dont sell a hitch for the truck if it has a factory installed hitch is this correct ? what do you recommend ?

The factory hitch on your vehicle is integrated into the factory bumper mounting brackets, so removing the OEM hitch will result in losing your bumper. My contact at Curt tells me that he also had an early 2000's F-150, and he ended up having to go to a junkyard to obtain bumper brackets from a F-150 that didn't have a factory hitch. Once that's all done, you can then install an aftermarket hitch like the Curt Class III, part # 13357.
