Most likely it's a blown fuse under the hood of your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee for the trailer wiring turn signals. You can check there and replace as needed. The other possibility is that the trailer wiring connector is damaged and is in need of being replaced. I'd first check all of the pins on the connector for corrosion and clean as needed with sandpaper though. But if when you are there you see that the connector is overall in bad shape it's probably just better and easier to replace the entire thing with the # C55774.
