Helpful Expert Reply:
Trailer rims/wheels can often accept more than one single tire size but this is not always the case, especially with the smaller wheel sizes like an 8-incher. Tire size 4.80/4.00-8 only fits on one specific rim size, one that is 3-3/4-inches wide and 8-inches in diameter, but this rim will also accept tire size 5.70-8 which has a overall diameter that is 2-inches larger than size 4.80/4.00-8, 18.1-inches overall rather than 16.1-inches overall. The linked article on tire sizes may be of value to you as it shows all tire sizes that fit each rim size.
In your current tire size 4.80/4.00-8 we offer bias ply type tires in two weight ratings, Load Ranges B and C. Kenda tire # AM10002 is a Load Range B tire rated to handle up to 590-lbs when inflated to its rated 60-psi pressure. Their Load Range C tire # AM10004 will handle up to 745-lbs when inflated to its rated 90-psi pressure.
Trailer tires should always be inflated to their maximum rated cold pressure.
