Recommended Way To Carry Two Kayaks on a 2019 Subaru Outback
Question:
Thanks for your response to my original question. My 2019 Outback has roof rails with integrated crossbars. Will the integrated cross bars support the weight of two kayaks if I used the two Malone Kayaks Carriers part #MPG114MD you suggested? What would you recommend to tie down the Kayaks?

The best way to carry two kayaks on the roof of your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon would be with two sets of j-style carriers. For this, I recommend the Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier part # MPG114MD (2) which has folding uprights that you can lay flat while no kayaks are attached and you can add the Telos XL Load Assist part # MPG351XL if you need help loading the kayaks. The reason you will want to use a set of j-style carriers is because they will be the easiest to load and take your kayaks off and on with or without the load assist bars. They will also position the kayaks so that you psychically have room for two as most roofs will not accommodate two side by side while laid flat.
If you do not already have a roof rack on your 2019 Subaru Outback Wagon then I recommend using the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbar System part # TH711420, part # TH460R, and part # THKIT4063. This system has some of the quietest crossbars on the market and it attaches to a set of fixed mounting points so you don't have the ugly clamps that go inside your door jambs.
