Hey Richard,

We do have a kayak assist you can use with the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073, though the Telos XL you mentioned will not. Reason is it has a device on the end that notches into slots on Malone carriers, and the JayLow doesn't have that. What you can use that can work, albeit a bit differently, is the Inno Kayak Lifter Load Assist # INA453.

This clamps onto your crossbars and has an arm that swings out to give you leverage to lift the boat into position. This is the only type of assist we have, just make sure you have a crossbar spread of 27" to 39".

What if I use the roof rack adapter MAL95VR with J-low and the Telos XL??

@RichardS Great catch, and yeah, the Universal Roof Rack Adapter Kit for Malone Telos XL Load Assist # MAL95VR will absolutely work with your JayLow and the Telos XL Load Assist for Malone Kayak Carriers # MPG351XL.
