What Two Fuses Need to Get Pulled to Flat Tow 2014 Honda CR-V
Question:
We plan on towing a 2014 Honda CRV AWD behind our Class A motorhome which came with a Patriot brake system BRK2012, coil wire and brake away switch. We installed the baseplate BX2258 and a Hopkins wire kit 56304 with a 6 prong plug. We plan on installing the 12 volt outlet RM9332 and brake-lite relay RM88400. In the owners manual it says to leave the ignition switch in accessory, also it says to remove one fuse manual points to wrong fuse for extended towing. I have a few questions: 1 Do I leave the ignition switch in accessory? 2 Do I need to remove a fuse? 3 If I need to remove a fuse, do I remove #19 ACC, or both #19 and #20 ACC key lock fuse by pass kit RM76511 or RM76512?

When it comes to the procedure for a specific vehicle for flat towing you have to go with what the manufacturer recommends. Either by what's in the owners manual or by contacting the manufacturer of the vehicle. Based on what you listed you would need to leave the ignition in ACC mode and the two fuses you mentioned of 19 and 20. We actually had the chance to install the # RM76512 on a 2014 Honda CR-V just like yours and I attached an install video that shows which fuses had to be bypassed.
