Low Profile Roof Vent Recommendation for Camper

Question:

Jameson I was looking at your site and it appears that max air makes a mini fan that only sticks up just over 2 inches from the roof.

The lowest profile roof vent we have that has a fan built into it was the MaxxFan Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00A04301K which when closed sticks up 4-1/4 inches from the roof it's installed on. (edit: now the lowest profile is the part # MA00-04301M which sticks up 2-7/8 inches). You'd have to measure to be sure that would fit under your roof rack or not.

A follow up question for you however, what is the lowest profile vent offered without a fan? Unfortunately the model given in the answer was too high. Can you recomend a high quality option as the vent will be exposed to some abuse from bush roads.

We have the Ventline # V2110SP-24 which only sits 2-1/4 inches above the roof. It also has a metal lid so it's very durable.

Thanks for all the answers so far. Are there and vents made for install with thinner material. The fiberglass is about 3/8 thick so will be a challenge to use most vents interior trim.

You can install the # V2110SP-24 on thinner roof material. The trick will be to trim down the garnish that comes with it so that it can fit on the thinner roof. The garnish is the lower plastic piece that mounts on the interior of the camper.
