Does this unit come with everything needed for installation? I bought an 18,000 and then had to buy an additional installation kit. Not happy when it said everything was with it.

Hey Fances! The Furrion Chill HE Replacement RV Roof Air Conditioner Unit # FR26TD is just the AC. Since this is one of the new units with R32 refrigerant to meets 2025 EPA regulations you will have to replace the air distribution box (ADB) and thermostat as well. If you want to stick with the Furrion Chill HE you need the # FR35TD. This works with ducted and ductless setups and includes the AC unit, controller, thermostat, and ADB.
If you're going to replace everything I would also take a look at the Furrion Chill Cube. This is their new AC unit and it has a lot of great features. This AC has a really low power draw, variable speed compressor, and is incredibly quiet. The system is operated via the included remote as well as the controls on the ADB. The cooling power may seem really high but the compressor is always running to keep it efficient so it won't continuously cycle and wear itself out. If you decide to go that route you can choose from the following based on color, ducted/ductless, and whether or not you have a furnace:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - Black # FR49TD (with furnace)
-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w/ Air Distribution Box, Thermostat - Ducted - 18,000 Btu - White # FR69TD (with furnace)

Hey Fances, how did things go after switching to the full Furrion Chill HE system or one of the Chill Cube options? It’d be great to know if the setup included everything you needed this time. Your update could make it easier for others choosing between these units.
