Recommended Brake Assembly for Dexter 5,200 lb Axle

I need to know the various brakes compatible with these Dexter Trailer Axles S/N 132090173 capactiy 5200lbs dex# 1343512 due: 6/10/2015

For you 5,200 lbs axles you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - Self-Adjusting - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 5.2K to 7K # AKEBRK-7-SA. This is a favorite assembly because after the initial setup, the assemblies will automatically adjust the brake shoes for the most effective braking. Dexter has a setup like this as the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 12" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 6K # 23-458-459. Don't let the 6K throw you this is also the right kit for your 5,200 lb axles.

Without the self adjustment the assembly will need to be manually adjusted periodically to keep functioning at full capacity. If you prefer the manual assemblies I recommend the Dexter # 23-112-113 or the # AKEBRK-6.
