Question:
Is there any scissor jack with a LIFT capacity of 8000 lbs?
asked by: Pascal
Expert Reply:
Scissor jacks are stabilizing jacks and not intended for lifting. Their rated capacity is only for stabilizing. We have kits with capacities above 8,000 lbs but the largest support capacity for a single jack is the Ultra-Fab Ultra Scissor Jack - 24" Lift - 6,500 lbs # UF48-979006 or the 30 inch lift # UF48-979032.
So if you use one on each side of your trailer that gives you a 13,000 lb support capacity at that location since you wouldn't put it on one side and not the other.
