Availability of Galvanized Wheel and ST205-75R14 Tire With Load Rating of D
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I want to purchase 2 trailer wheels and tires for my boat trailer. I was looking for 2 galvanized wheels pre mounted with 2 ST205-75R14 tires with a Class D rating of 2280. The only tire and wheel combination I see on your web site comes in a powder coated wheel and would require me to upsize the tires to 215-75R14. The powder coated is not desirable to me for salt water use and the increased tire size would make it more difficult to unload and load the boat. Can you sell me the combination I need or do I need to buy the wheels and tires separately and have them mounted myself?

In order to meet all of your requirements you would need to get the tires and wheels separately and have them mounted. The 205/75R14, load range D radial tire we offer is the Kenda Karrier # AM10235. This tire, which has a weight capacity of 2,200 lbs, is among the highest rated we carry, with nearly 500 reviews giving it a near-unanimous 5 stars. For a wheel to go with it, I recommend taking a look at the Americana Steel Mini Mod # AM20364, which is galvanized, measures 14" diameter x 6" wide and has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern.
You may have another option depending on the weight of your trailer and boat. There are quite a few options for tires and wheels with a load range of C, such as the Karrier ST205/75R14 # AM32156, which is rated for 1,870 lbs, has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern, and is stands up for use in salt water. You should always rinse your equipment as soon as possible after being in salt water to prolong the protections.
I've added links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at.

I currently have st205/75r14 tires on my boat I never use. Both are dead tires. I was looking for something to replace them to move it and in the search I also get a lot of 4.80 and 5.0 tire numbers. If I switched to this type tire what would I need to look for to know it would fit my rim?
