Can I install a trailer hitch Item #76128 on a 2017 Honda CR-V without lifting it e.g., without Jacks or ramps?

To install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76128 on your 2017 Honda CR-V you don't absolutely need to lift it, but it will make the job significantly easier. The hitch at the receiver tube is only 13-1/4 inches off the ground, so that doesn't give you much room for a person and their tools especially when lowering the exhaust is required, but I'm sure it is possible. My recommendation is to use jack stands or ramps to give yourself a little more space to work.

Hey Sean, if the Draw Tite hitch you have is the #76128 it's not supposed to fit the hybrid models so that would be why you are having the problem you mentioned. The Draw Tite part #DT79MR is instead the one that fits the hybrid models.
