Recommended Extremely Bright Trailer Reverse Light

I bought the 6 diode dot backup light. Nice light but not bright enough. I want the brightest light I can get and I dont care about the dot. I dont backup on the highway! I have the 6x2 oval. I dont want the most expensive, I want light! I had some questions answered by a girl there by the name of Rebecca. I think that was her name and you have give credit when credits due, right? I'll do my best to be just as helpful as Rebecca.

I do have a few options for you depending on the exact size you'll need. I know you said you aren't worried about being compliant with the DOT but the best options we have both are.

The Optronics GloLight LED Backup Light # BUL111CB is a 6-1/2 inch by 2-3/8 inch light that will fit into an opening of 6-7/8 by 2-1/2 inches. It's a clear lens with 22 diodes. All of the different sizes and shapes of GloLights we have get very good reviews from customers.

Then there is the Optronics LED Backup Light # BUL22CB which is 6-1/2 by 2-5/16 inches. It has a candela output of 160. The Optronics # BUL52CB is the same dimensions but has a candela output of 175.

All three options are very bright. I attached videos showing them all in use for you to see. I've also linked our selection of lights that are close to the measurements you provided if you'd like to look at other options.

How bright is very bright? Can you specify a Lumen value? It seems difficult to get lumens ratings from backup lights. Is there a reason for that?

@Joe Unfortunately Optronics does not measure the Lumen value of these lights. I am not sure why it is common for reverse lights to not have their Lumen value measured or stated. As Charles mentioned in the answer, 2 of the 3 lights have candela outputs measured, but the GloLight does not. For reference, at a distance of 1 foot, the candela output is equal to the output in lumens.
