I recommend using the Taskmaster ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TTWTRTM1758013C for your 1997 Starcraft Starmaster trailer. This tire has the same ST175/80-13 size as the existing tires on your trailer, but the Taskmaster # TTWTRTM1758013C is a radial tire instead of a bias ply tire, like the existing tires on your trailer. Radial tires flex more than bias tires, providing more ground contact. Additionally, radial tires run cooler than bias ply tires, especially under a load, and a tire runs cooler will last longer.
The Taskmaster # TTWTRTM1758013C is a Load Range C tire that has a maximum load capacity of 1,360 pounds at 50 psi. Two tires will provide a maximum load of 2,720 pounds when they are each inflated to 50 psi. This tire has a M speed rating, which means it has a maximum speed rating of 81 miles per hour.
You should always use tires of the same size, load range, and construction on a trailer. If you use tires that don't match, you could experience problems of overloading and overheating, which can lead to tire failure.
