How Much Height Will the Reese Elite Adapter part # RP30156 Add to Hitch Height

Question:
Hello, I would like to install the Pullrite 2700 in my F250 short bed. I have the OEM Reese Elite pucks that came installed with the truck. If I install the Reese 30156 adapter rail under the Pullrite 2700 SuperGlide hitch with Pullrite #2911 Low Profile Feet, what will be the height of the hitch plate? From what I have seen, the data sheet states that the hitches sets at 18.5. But, I am not sure that includes the adapter rail and low profile feet. I do not believe the height of the hitch plate is adjustable, correct? I am guessing that the hitch plate will actually end up being 23-24inch above the top of the bed. If the above combination is too high, my next option is to install a Pullrite 1300 fixed position hitch with a Reese #61420 Sidewinder pin box. This would give me 22inch of offset. Good choice? My trailer weighs less than 16k. Thanks, J

As long as you get the Pullrite hitch that is the ISR model which stands for industry standard rail you can use the adapter part # RP30156. This will raise the hitch an additional 2-3/4 inches though. If the Pullrite does indeed have a hitch height of 18-1/2 inches and is non-adjustable this would put the overall height at 20-1/4 inches.
A Sidewinder with a stationary hitch would be another great option to consider.
Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one. There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer. Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
If you cannot find the number you can use the measurements of the bolt holes of the pin box to determine which one you have. I attached an FAQ on how to do this for you to check out also.
