Should Replacement Thule T2 Bike Rack Arm be Lubricated Before Installation
Question:
I have ordered a new arm for my T2 rack and am wondering if some type of grease or lubricant should be placed on the bushing the arm clamps around. It appears there was something there now dried up from the factory but I dont want to use the wrong stuff and attract too much dirt.

The first thing you will want to do is clean off the dirty areas you mentioned. You will want to avoid spray lubricants like WD40 because they can attract dirt and clog up the works. Some light grease such as LubriMatic White Lithium grease in 14 oz. Cartridges # L11354 will work fine. Grease isn't a necessity, but you can use it.
