Custom-Fit Towing Mirrors
Easily extend your field of vision and reduce blind spots with these CIPA slip-on towing mirrors. By adding them to your OEM side-view mirrors, you can see beyond the end of your trailer. This will allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass, and park with a trailer in tow.
Each mirror is molded to perfectly match the contours of your factory side mirror. To install, simply slide the towing mirror over your side-view mirror, and use the included hook and hand knob hold the mirror in place. Slip the hook over the arm of your factory mirror, and secure the towing mirror to the hook with the knob.
Slip-on mirrors will fit factory mirrors that look like the mirror in the image above.

Today we're going to be taking a look the CIPA custom towing mirrors. These are slip on mirrors for the driver and passenger side. These mirrors fit a 1978-91 Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Jimmy, a 1980-87 Chevrolet C/K series pick-up and GMC C/K series pick-up, 1978-1991 Chevrolet and GMC Suburban, 1980-1996 Chevrolet and GMC van, 1984-1993 Dodge van, 1988-1993 Dodge Ram pick-up and Dodge Ram Charger. The towing mirrors are going to slip over your factory side view mirrors to extend your lines of sight. These are going to allow you to safely and easily change lanes, pass and park while towing a trailer. It's going to feature the manually adjustable mirror face. That's going to let you customize your view so you can just push in on the sides or the corners to get the angle that you need for your application.
Really nice aerodynamic shape. It's going to offer a good aerodynamics and a tight fit so that's going to help prevent vibration and wind noise. The slip on mirrors maintain the aerodynamics of your factory mirrors. These are custom designed for your vehicle, and they will not obstruct the factory mirrors, and they won't interfere with any adjustments that need to be made to your factory mirrors. Tool free installation. It's going to come with a ABS and polypropylene plastic hardware.
It's also going to come with illustrated instructions to help walk you through the installation process. When it comes to the actual housing of the mirror, this is a durable black ABS plastic construction, and it's going to feature a scratch resistant mirror face. Now, the driver's side and passenger's side mirrors are included. Product's made right here in the USA. A few measurements I want to go over with you real quick. Taking a measurement from the end of the mirror to this point right here which is where your factory mirror will be located.
That's going to measure about 5 3/8", so that's going to be about the amount of distance that's going to be added to your factory mirror. The mirror face going this direction right there at the center is going to be about 4 1/2". Going this direction in the center, it's going to be about 5 1/4 to 5 3/8". A little bit wider right here next to the factory mirror, a little bit more narrow here at the end of the slip on towing mirror. Pretty simple installation mount. All you have to do is hook this piece around the factory mirror arm, and then it's going to come through the back side of the housing.
You simply thread on the plastic mounting nut until you get a nice tight secure fit. That's going to do it for today's look at the CIPA custom towing mirrors for both the driver's side and passenger's side of your vehicle.

1. These seem to fit the original GMC mirrors on a 1994 G3500 Rally STX very well.
2. If the plastic hook fasteners are over tightened or turned too rapidly the plastic seizes and the threads strip out. It is also easy to cross thread them. Suitable lubrication and careful use is called for.
3. They can be used with very similar appearing aftermarket mirrors (that are not the original GMC) but they do not fit these mirrors without user modification. I was able to mount successfully to my one non-GMC replacement mirror but had to make modifications that very likely void the warranty.
This was the only adjustable (or easy on and off) towing mirror solution that I could find for this vehicle and appears to meet my minimum requirements. I had hoped to find a towing mirror solution that had bigger mirrors. I am very happy with the overall quality, ease of installation and reasonable rigidity of the assembly when in place. The ABS plastic body is both strong and impervious to corrosion.
I bought these specifically for towing a camping trailer with my '93 Dodge W250. Installation is very easy, and I've left them on. Though larger (taller) mirrors that stand out farther may be useful at times, these have been entirely adequate and require no drilling or other permanent alteration to the truck. I am altogether satisfied with them.

Ive never taken them off. Very pleased
The mirrors fit good. The added mirror is a little small but will work. The only complaint I have is the plastic clip & nut that hold the mirror on. One went on without a problem but the second one had a problem with the threads and twisted off before it got close to tight.

These knobs can be overtightened pretty easily. Item # CM10002 is the replacement hardware for the mirrors. I will have customer service reach out to you.

the mirrors look great but they do not have a snug fit being ABS plastic. The retainer hook that holds the trailering mirror to the vehicles mirror is also plastic and will brake in a short period of time. the tailoring mirrors will rattle and have the potential to fall off going down the road. Not a wise purchace.
Have used our mirrors for over a year now and they are working great. Only towed our 5th wheel several times but have left them attached since they arrived. I highly recommend these mirrors. L. Jochums

I ordered these mirrors for my 1984 chevy full size van to see around and behind a 30' travel trailer i purchased. These mirrors installed perfectly over my stock mirrors and secure very tightly also. When i walk away and turn around to look at the mirrors it looks like the van was made with them. Im ten times happier than i thought id be. They look that nice. Thank u etrailer. You guys and gals are always there when i need anything for my van or rv. Your company doesnt lie about anything. The supposedly OEM replacement mirrors that I got elsewhere apparently were not the original spec, as these slip ons would not fit. The mirror heads were too deep. I ordered strap on mirrors instead. I have had a previous pair of these slip ons and they worked quite well.
The mirrors fit over the stock ones perfectly and look factory stock. Great product and price. I am towing a 8.5 foot wide enclosed trailer and those mirror extensions work great, makes towing a lot easier and safer.

Slip on tow mirrors have been great had them a year and no issues with them.
They really help
Mirrors do not fit very well. I got them on but they're made way to tight.

Still using these mirrors for towing. They are holding up fine in use. I remove and store them when not towing.
