How to Pick Out Correct Replacement Seals for a Trailer Hub
Updated 08/15/2014 | Published 08/14/2014 >
Question:
I currently have lippert 7000# axles V000115575 on my 5th wheel toyhauler. The grease seals on the rear axle have failed and the brakes are covered in grease. Id like to replace them, but I dont see lippert listed in any of your brake assemblies. Are they compatible across manufacturers? Is this the correct model for my axle? Do you sell the grease seals as well?

In order to get the correct replacement seal you will want to remove the seal from your hub and get the number stamped on it. If you can't find the number you can also use the dimensions of your seal to get the correct replacement.
Get the outer diameter of the seal, and then using a dial caliper measure the diameter of the surface that the seal rides on the spindle and we will be able to find you the correct spindle.
I attached a link to a page that has all of our grease seals.
