Troubleshooting Electric RV Dump Valves That Won't Open or Close

Question:

I have a 2024 Alliance Paradigm 385fl and I was having issues with one of my dump valves, not opening I checked for power and continuity at the switch and they all were fine but now all three switches the light will not come on to individual valves unless all three valves are in the open position then the light comes on, but the switches are not opening the valves.

Hey John! Since all three electric dump valves on your 2024 Alliance Paradigm 385FL have stopped working, I suspect you have a wiring issue rather than three bad switches or valve actuators.

I would start by checking the 12V power supply, fuses, and ground connections for the valves. Pay particular attention to any wiring connections shared between the three switches. The fact that the indicator lights only work when all three switches are in the open position makes me suspect a bad ground or loose connection that's allowing power to backfeed through the other circuits.

If those connections look good, I'd check for 12V at the valve actuators while operating the switches to narrow down where power is being lost.

Did all three valves stop working at the same time, or did the other two stop after you started troubleshooting the first one?
