Availability Of Replacement Bottom Cover For Lippert Trailer Jack LC285318

Question:
I have had a little accident, the top cover is fine but the lower plastic housing with the light was damaged. The Jack works fine and the top cover still snapped into place. Is there a replacement part for the lower half of the cover?

Hey James, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, Lippert does not offer the lower plastic housing with the light as a separate replacement part. They do offer the upper cover as # LC285160, but the lower half is not available individually.
Since your jack is still working properly, I definitely understand not wanting to replace the entire assembly over a damaged plastic cover. If the lower housing is beyond repair, though, replacing the jack will be the only option for getting everything back to its original condition.
What happened to the jack that caused the cover to break?

Was totally my fault. It is on a 22’ micro mini Winnie. I have been working around and involved with trailers since I was 10, (63 years). I assumed since the trailer was so small and less than 7000# gross weight, that the correct size hitch ball was 2”. After well over a thousand miles on some very bumpy roads, the bump to top all others got us in Arkansas. The trailer came off the hitch ball, luckily I had shortened the safety chains and the kept the trailer attached, swaying a lot, but not dragging until we slowed way down, which is when the Jack bumped up against the bumper of our dually. That’s when the lower houseing broke and the top cover popped off. Everything still works except the light, which I had never used. Jack was not bent, bottom pad slightly bent and scraped, that’s all.
